This week’s Green Shoots session will shine the spotlight on SouthEast Asia – one of the world’s most compelling FinTech hotspots. Against the backdrop of COVID-19, promising efforts have started to unfold with continued opportunities and challenges facing the industry. We are delighted to have leaders from FinTech associations in ASEAN coming together to discuss the impact of COVID-19 and share efforts in their respective markets to support the community through these challenging times. What are some of the key learnings from ASEAN and how can markets collaborate to support FinTech and drive growth? Join us and our community of FinTech founders, VCs, regulators and financial institutions as we discuss how to get through this, together.

Our associations will delve into:

  • Current initiatives to support the FinTech Ecosystem in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, and what more is needed for the region;
  • Areas of public and private sector collaboration;
  • The biggest challenges and opportunities in FinTech, against the backdrop of a COVID-19 world;
  • Advice and guidance for FinTechs doing in business in SouthEast Asia; and
  • Learnings from the region and how countries can collaborate to support FinTech.

  • Chia Hock Lai, President, Singapore FinTech Association
  • Mohammad Ridzuan Abdul Aziz, President, FinTech Association of Malaysia
  • Jirayut Srupsrisopa, Board of Director, Thai FinTech Association
  • Niki Santo Luhur, Chairman/ Co-Founder, Indonesia FinTech Association
